Matching Gifts

Matching gifts are a source of income for non-profits that are often overlooked, but when utilized they can double donations!  Matching gifts, or matching grants as they are sometimes called, can be done on the corporate level and also on an individual level.  Many businesses is offer matching programs to their employees and what this means is that if the employee donates to a nonprofit, then their employer will donate the same amount, therefore doubling the amount received by the organization.  Since many non-profits rely on the donations of their supporters as a portion of the organizations income, this is a great and easy way to make a difference and support your cause.

Not all companies offer matching programs, but for those who do, the process is usually very simple.  All the donor needs to do is find their companies matching gift form, fill it out, and submit it with proof of their donation.  Human Resource employees are often a great resource in helping out with this process and answering any questions you may have.  So, if you are making any type of charitable donation to the Bleeding Disorders Alliance Illinois, it would be very much appreciated, and through a matching gifts program you may be able to double your donation!

Not all companies that offer matching gifts are listed, but see if you can find details about your company below or contact the Human Resources representative in your office!
