Due to unforeseen circumstances, Camp Warren Jyrch is canceled for this year. Please visit https://www.bdai.org/camp to learn about other camp opportunities for this summer.
Camp Warren Jyrch allows Illinois kids with bleeding disorders a chance to come together, empower each other, and learn more about their disorders, how to self-treat, and gain independence, all while experiencing everything that children without bleeding disorders experience at camp: arts and crafts, fishing, rope or challenge courses, running, jumping, swimming and sports of all kinds. For camp, we are always looking for new ways and strategies to enhance our efforts while building on the important traditions that have developed. Each year, our goals to: - assist campers by constructively incorporating their bleeding disorders and other infectious diseases into their self-concepts and lifestyles - nurture self-confidence and foster pride, hope and personal growth - provide an opportunity to establish peer relationships within the bleeding disorders community and, - empower and motivate children with bleeding disorders to seek a life of freedom and independence that is not limited by their chronic conditions.
